20 year old vines planted in the famed cru of Bussia in Monforte d'Alba. Made in a fresh, readily drinkable style this bottling consistently provides a unique expression of Nebbiolo that focuses more on soft tannins and high toned aromatics than making wines of power to be laid down in the cellar.

Alessandro and Gian Natale Fantino are two brothers making wine exclusively out of the Bussia cru in Monforte d'Alba, more specifically the section of the cru known as Dardi which is where they take their brand name Cascina Dardi. Alessandro spent nearly 20 years as the enologist at Cantina Bartolo Mascarello before returning to the family winery alongside his brother. Producing traditional Barolo and mesmerizing Barolo Reserva they are also one of the few producers still making Chianti and exceedingly rare Barolo Passito.
