Chateau Coufran Haut Medoc (2016) Bordeaux, France

Château Coufran is unusual for the Left Bank because Merlot dominates the blend. The 2016 shows black cherry, blackberry and violet with polished tannin and a little cedar. Fresh enough to keep drinking now, but still very much a structured Haut-Médoc.
