Punta Crena is a small winery in the town of Varigotti, a seaside village on the Mediterranean in northwestern Italy. Run by the Tommasso family for over 500 years it is now in the hands of four siblings all playing a role in producing around 4,000 cases of wine per year. They are not certified organic but work the land as their family have for 500 years long before synthetic chemicals were invented. They also proudly grow many native varietals most not seen outside of Liguria and some not seen anywhere outside of their small plantings. A unique winery with centuries of history showcasing a part of Italy that many wine drinkers are not familiar with.
