Rovellotti Ghemme Riserva Costa del Salmino (2016) Piedmont, Italy

90% Nebbiolo and 10% Vespolina from Rovellotti’s Costa del Salmino vineyard in Ghemme. The wine spends two years in large Slavonian oak, then another twelve to eighteen months in smaller French oak before release. Dried cherry, rose and red plum with leather, earth and firm but resolved tannin.
